Job Summary

As a Data Scientist at GE Vernova, you will be part of a cross-disciplinary team working on commercial technology projects that involve large and complex datasets. You will collaborate with experts in various fields, including statisticians, software developers, engineers, and product managers, to deliver innovative analytics solutions.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Develop Analytics: Contribute to well-defined projects that address customer needs and opportunities.
• Collaborate with Teams: Work closely with data scientists, software developers, and engineers to translate algorithms into commercially viable products and services.
• Technical Development: Engage in the development, deployment, and application of applied, predictive, and prescriptive analytics.
• Data Analysis: Perform exploratory and targeted data analyses using descriptive statistics and other methods.
• Data Quality: Collaborate with data engineers on data quality assessment and cleansing to ensure high-quality data analytics.
• Documentation: Generate reports, annotated code, and other artifacts to document and communicate your work.
• Share Findings: Actively share and discuss your findings with team members to drive project success.

Education Qualification

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a STEM-related field is required, with basic experience in data science or related areas.

Desired Skills and Characteristics

• Technical Expertise: Proficiency in Python (R is optional), data cleansing, and applied analytics. Awareness of GENAI and Advanced Process Control in industrial settings.
• Domain Knowledge: Understanding of industry trends, technology advancements, and customer management.
• Leadership and Personal Attributes: Strong team collaboration, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. Curiosity and creativity are highly valued.

Compensation and Benefits

• Expected CTC: ₹18 LPA – ₹22 LPA (Estimated based on sources like Glassdoor and AmbitionBox).
